CA Driving Requirements
  • You can obtain your learners permit no earlier then the age 15 ½
  • You can get your provisional drivers licenses at the age of 16
  • You must hold your learners permit for at least 6 month
  • Minimum amount of supervised driving: You must complete drivers training with a licensed driving instructor for a minimum of 6 hours and an additional 50 hours with a licensed adult, 10 of these hours must be at night.
  • You must also take your driving test at any California DMV office

A. Yes, you will have a few restrictions.
1. You will not be allowed to drive with out an adult supervision between 11:00pm - 5:00am
2. First 12 months; no one under 20 years old unless supervised by a 25 year-old licensed driver

Q. Once I get my certificate of completion of drivers' education, will I be able go to DMV and get learners permit.

A. No, you will not be able to get learners permit immediately, first you must be enrolled in the behind the will program (drivers training). On our website you will be able to find a list of approved driving schools in your area where you will be able to sign up for the driving portion.The provisional permit is not valid until you start your behind-the-wheel driving training with an instructor or reach the age of 17 ½ years.

Q. Do I have to complete the whole course at one sitting?

A. You can do your course at your own pace. We have 10 chapters. You can do them all at once or you can do one chapter at the time.

Q. When will I get my certificate?

A. We mail certificates via First Class Mail unless otherwise requested by the student. You should expect to receive your certificate within two - five business days.

Q. How do I pay for the course?

A. Ask your parents to pay for this course by using credit card on our site. Also, your parents can mail to us a money order. All of these options will be posted on our payment page.
 
Q. When do I have to pay for the course?

A. You can pay for this course at the very beginning, once you complete registration online, or you can try out 3 chapters for free. You will be able to try us out and see if you want to proceed with our course, if you feel comfortable doing this course at home. Once you pay for the course it will let you do rest of the chapters.

Q. I completed your course some time ago, but I lost the certificate that you sent me, how can I get the duplicate?

A. If you lose your certificate and need to get another one, we require your parent or legal guardian to contact us to have your certificate duplicated. There is an additional $20.00 processing and duplication fee. For other states, please contact us at (661)723-1242

Q. I was given "promo code" by my friend, how do I get the referral discount?

A. On the payment page you can input the discount/promo code. Please enter the username or e-mail address of the person who referred you and your tuition will be discounted.

Q. Can I take the course from different computers?

A. Once you complete registration on our site, you will be able to access your account from any computer connected to internet.

Q. What kind of technical requirements do I have meet, in order to be able to use your website?

A. All you need to be able to do is get online! You will not need to download anything onto your computer. It is rare to find a monitor smaller than 15 inches these days, so we have done our best to make sure you can view all the web pages easily if you have at least a 15 inch monitor. If you can't view an entire page, you may need to go to your screen resolution properties and select 800 by 600 pixels or higher. (For a PC, right click on your desktop to see your monitor properties.)

Here are the most common recommended browsers.

AOL 6.0 or higher. We also suggest that you have your security settings set to medium or low for best results. All of your payment and personal information will be on highly secure pages. Here is how to check your settings: Click on Settings and select Preferences. Click on Internet Properties. A gray box will appear where you can click on Security. Slide the gauge to Medium or Meduim/Low and click on OK.

Other browsers should work just fine also!! However, it is always recommended to have a fairly recent version of your browser when navigating the web.

Q. If I encounter a blank screen while I'm taking the course. What should I do?

A. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, please choose "View" on the menu bar, then "Encoding." Next click on "Auto-select" and refresh the page by hitting the F5 key on your keyboard.
